Description:

The successful applicant will be held to a high standard of performance and will be expected to achieve substantial results in a limited timeframe. USAID/Indonesia expects this program to reduce the incidence of HIV infections and to assist in preventing a nationally generalized epidemic. HIV/AIDS rates and trends will be tracked through surveillance mechanisms and national reporting so that rates may be measured over time. However, given the epidemiology of the HIV virus and limited reporting at this time, it is recognized that a reduction in HIV incidence will not be measurable within the 3-year timeframe. Therefore, measurable results in reduced STI incidence and risk-reduction behavior change must be achieved and will be used as proxy indicators for HIV incidence. Applicants will be evaluated based on the strengths of their proposed plan to achieve results and on the rate of change Applicants reasonably expect to achieve.
